About Us

Reel Muzik Werks is an innovative, full-service independent music publisher specializing in music for Film & TV and international rights management. Utilizing its team’s broad experience and relationships in the global entertainment market, RMW provides excellence in service as an effective partner.

RMW has become home to a diverse clientele who needed more than a “one size fits all” approach to the management of their music publishing catalogs and recordings. From the outset, Founder & CEO Teri Nelson Carpenter wanted to create a different type of company, one that could address the needs of a wide variety of content creators in a seamless way.

Building upon her extensive experience at companies such as Saban Music Group, Fox Family/Fox Kids, MGM, Hemdale Film Corporation and Broadcast Music Inc (BMI), Ms. Carpenter constructed RMW to be able to speak to the needs of traditional artists, composers, and publishers, along with Film/TV production companies, broadcast networks, legacy catalogs, music libraries, and even performing and mechanical rights societies.

From songwriter collaborations and studio recording sessions with artists and Emmy® Award Winning composers, to curating perfect songs for pivotal movie moments, RMW nurtures all forms of the musical creative process. RMW is active and hands-on from pre-production through post-production, and beyond the screen.

Protect

RMW protects creators’ music and production assets by completing accurate and timely registrations at all major performing, mechanical, neighboring, and secondary rights societies around the world. Teri Nelson Carpenter, RMW’s Founder & CEO, is an industry leader often called upon to share insights with trade associations and other professional organizations. As a panel host or panelist or keynote speaker, she speaks on legislation and global issues that affect a creator’s livelihood.

Collect

Direct affiliations at key global rights societies provide RMW the opportunity to collect a diverse amount of royalties on behalf of its clients, including but not limited to performance, mechanical, broadcast mechanical, neighboring rights, and secondary rights. RMW also handles direct licensing royalties for arrangements, sheet music, and grand rights, and has even partnered with new collecting organizations focusing solely on digital royalties. Utilizing its own advanced in-house tracking systems, RMW identifies and diligently works with societies to rectify missing and incorrect royalty payments.
