This month’s songwriter spotlight is Jennifer Adan! Jennifer recently signed with Reel Muzik Werks and has already written “Wild Side” at our songwriting camp, which was just recorded and released by RMW artist Melissa Carter.

Jennifer’s journey began in San Mateo, California when she was 10 years old. During a fifth-grade history class, Jennifer secretly wrote her first song unaware that it could lead to a career. At age 15, she revealed her talent by playing her parents a song she’d written for them for their 25th wedding anniversary. In addition, she let them know there were 100 more songs where that one came from. Since then, she made the cross-country move to Nashville in order to chase her dream. Not long after she would be celebrating the success of a two week number one hit song “She Wouldn’t Be Gone” for Blake Shelton, which officially went platinum in 2022.

Jennifer’s song “Don’t Come Home” was featured on MTV’s The Real World: San Diego and her song “Race You to the Bottom” was the single and title track from rock band New Medicine, charting at #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
