Cats Unleashed
Cats Unleashed began performing in 2005. Composers Jerry Pellegrino and Eric Lewis got together to play some jazz on a Sunday afternoon and have been playing together ever since.
Songwriter Eric Lewis is a native Californian and has played various instruments for the past 48 years. He studied music at El Camino College and California State University Long Beach. He has played in several bands on the west coast for the past 45 years and is currently the music director at a middle school and bass player for Cats Unleashed.
Jerry Pellegrino comes from New Jersey and has played piano for 45 years. He studied 15 years of classical music and jazz for the past 30 years in Harlem at the Harlem Jazz Mobile. He has played at many venues on the East Coast before coming to California in 1980. At that time he recorded "Jazz Extemporization", an album for Stinson Records, which was a noted jazz and folk label.
He has played on screen in "Spies", "Mambo Kings", and "Another You". He presently provides private lessons and is a full time musician.
